REMINDER
It is the sole responsibility of the applicant, to ensure delivery of their application, by the deadline date stated on the cover letter. It is not the Extension Office, Extension personnel, nor the U.S. Post Office’s responsibility. Be sure and keep (obtain proof of) postage date, and a copy of your application for your records.

SCHOLARSHIP


Rules and Reuglations

Please DO NOT attach letters of recommendation. All we need are three names of personal references that WE MAY CONTACT IF WE DEEM NECESSARY. Make sure you include their complete address. Do not include immediate family members.

  1. Applicants must be active FFA, FCCLA or 4-H member in good standing in Dixie, Gilchrist or Levy Counties.
  2. Applicants must be an exhibitor at the Suwannee River Fair and Livestock Show the current year.
  3. Applicants must be a senior in high school.
  4. Two - $500.00 scholarships will be awarded.
  5. These awards are for attendance at a University, Community/Junior College or Trade School.
  6. Application must be made on an approved form and submitted to the Suwannee River Fair business office, P. O. Box 252, Trenton, FL 32693 by 4:30 p.m. of the date indicated on the cover letter each current fair year.
  7. Applications will be reviewed anonymously and recipients selected by a committee appointed by the President of the Board of Directors.
  8. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of information supplied on approved application form including:
    a. Financial Need
    b. Scholarship (Grade Point Average)
    c. Project Record
    d. Fair Participation
    e. Leadership Experience
    f. Personal Information
  9. Volunteer work at the Suwannee River Fair is required. Accumulative Hours are required per year are as follows:
    Year 1. 10 hours
    Year 2. 20 hours
    Year 3. 30 hours
    Year 4. 40 hours
  10. Hours must be accumulated by Feb. 15.
